Unit 3: Conjunctions (그리고, 그래서)

Let's make our sentences longer in Easy Korean by learning how to connect them!

1. 그리고 (And, and then)

그리고 is used to link two sentences together, meaning "and" or "and then."

Example: - 커피를 마셔요. 그리고 책을 읽어요. (I drink coffee. And then I read a book.) - 저는 학생이에요. 그리고 제 친구도 학생이에요. (I am a student. And my friend is a student too.)

2. 그래서 (So, therefore)

그래서 shows a logical relationship where the first sentence is the reason or cause for the second sentence. It means "so" or "therefore."

Example: - 비가 와요. 그래서 집에 있어요. (It is raining. So I am at home.) - 한국 음식이 맛있어요. 그래서 한국 음식을 자주 먹어요. (Korean food is delicious. Therefore, I eat Korean food often.)
