Unit 13: A little, Very, Really
Let's make our sentences richer in Easy Korean by using adverbs to describe how much.
1. μ‘°κΈ (A little / A bit)
Used to describe a small amount or degree. Often shortened to μ’ in spoken Korean. - μ‘°κΈ λ°λΉ μ. (I am a little busy.) - λ¬Ό μ’ μ£ΌμΈμ. (Please give me a little water.)
2. μμ£Ό (Very)
Used to emphasize the degree of a state or action. - μ΄ μ¬κ³Όλ μμ£Ό λ§μμ΄μ. (This apple is very delicious.)
3. μ λ§ / μ§μ§ (Really)
Used to emphasize truth or intensity. 'μ§μ§' is very common in casual speech. - μ λ§ κ°μ¬ν©λλ€. (Thank you really much.) - μ΄κ±° μ§μ§ 맀μμ! (This is really spicy!)
4. λ무 (Too / Very)
Originally, λ무 meant "too much" (in a negative way). But in modern Korean, it is widely used to mean "very" in both positive and negative contexts. - λ무 λΉμΈμ. (It is too expensive.) - λ무 μ’μμ! (It is so good!)
