Unit 27: In Order To (-κ³ μ)
Unit 27: In Order To (-κ³ μ)
You learned -(μΌ)λ¬ and -(μΌ)λ €κ³ to mean "in order to." In formal situations (presentations, news, speeches) in Easy Korean, we use -κ³ μ.
Structure
Verb Stem + -κ³ μ (Often followed by ν©λλ€ when expressing an intention: -κ³ μ ν©λλ€ - I intend to)
- νλ€ -> νκ³ μ (in order to do)
- λλ€ -> λκ³ μ (in order to help - No irregular change for κ³ !)
- ν΄κ²°νλ€ -> ν΄κ²°νκ³ μ (in order to solve)
Usage
It means the same thing as -(μΌ)λ €κ³ , but you only write or speak it in formal settings.
