Practice 1: Conjugation

Change the following verbs into the "After -ing" form. You can use 다음에, 후에, or 뒤에 interchangeably for this exercise.

  1. 오다 (to come) -> __________________ 다음에
  2. 만나다 (to meet) -> __________________ 후에
  3. 씻다 (to wash) -> __________________ 뒤에
  4. 듣다 (to listen - Hint: ㄷ irregular!) -> __________________ 다음에
  5. 놀다 (to play - Hint: ㄹ drops!) -> __________________ 후에

Practice 2: Connect the Sentences

Combine the two sentences using -(으)ㄴ 다음에. Example: 밥을 먹다. + 커피를 마시다. -> 밥을 먹은 다음에 커피를 마셔요.

  1. 전화를 받다. (Answer the phone.) + 나갈 거예요. (I will go out.) -> 전화를 ____________________________________.

  2. 책을 읽다. (Read a book.) + 잘 거예요. (I will sleep.) -> 책을 ____________________________________.

Practice 3: Translate to Korean

Translate the sentences. (You can use 다음에, 후에, or 뒤에).

  1. After class, I will go to the library (도서관). (class: 수업 - Noun!) -> ____________________________________.

  2. Let's meet after finishing work. (finish work: 일이 끝나다) -> 일이 ____________________________________.
