Unit 25: Let's

When someone asks "Shall we?" (-(์œผ)ใ„น๊นŒ์š”?), you can reply with "Let's!" in Easy Korean. There are a few ways to say this.

1. Casual/Polite: -์•„/์–ด์š”

The most natural way to say "Let's" in everyday polite conversation is just to use the standard present tense ending -์•„/์–ด์š”, but change your intonation to sound like a suggestion. - ๊ฐ€์š”. (I am going OR Let's go.) - ๋ฐฅ์„ ๋จน์–ด์š”. (I am eating OR Let's eat.)

2. Formal: -(์œผ)ใ…‚์‹œ๋‹ค

If you are in a formal setting (a meeting) or speaking to a group, you use -(์œผ)ใ…‚์‹œ๋‹ค. However, do not use this to elders or bosses, as it can sound slightly bossy!

Examples

A: ๋‚ด์ผ ๋งŒ๋‚ ๊นŒ์š”? (Shall we meet tomorrow?) (Yes, let's meet tomorrow.)
